Killin it
I’ll have some photos in a couple of hours but this race is pretty nuts. Frank here. I’m his support team. Gregs racing hard but pacing himself. I’ve heard from other competitors that he’s talking on his way up as others are white in the face and having a hard time breathing. He’s drinking lots and eating fruit bars, beef chunks, energy gel packs and looking great. Its still early in the game but his positive vibe is shinning. The sun is bright, he’s in second place and doesnt have a worry on his mind. I’ll check back in in a bit hopefully with some photos. I’m hanging out with Lou Dawson and he’s updating his blog as well, you should have a look at wildsnow.com , later.
Greg passed the 10k mark awhile ago. He’s got a bloody nose and hand. He says that now he’s bored. 5 hours in and only 19 to go. The sun’s going down and its getting cold. He’s about 8 minutes behind the leader, he says he’s not concerned.

Thanks for keeping us up to date, Frank. Am in San Francisco (since there’s not much snow in the Sierra) checking on the race via this site and wildsnow.com. I hope Greg manages a new record and cruises comfortably throughout the night! Keep him well fed, Frank. Keep giving ‘er, Greg!!!
You the man Greg! Stay cool and don’t let those guys from CO get to you. It’s a long race.
You are the KING!!!!
Hi Frank,

Not to worry. I KNOW this guy. He comes in hard and fast; he can keep it up for a while. But not as long as a girl would like. You’ve got it. Its yours, from what I hear its yours.
